Our Commnity Action Inquiry Display

In Week 2 Term 4 the Community action that Rooms 12, 13 and 14 had been involved in for the last two terms was displayed in the auditorium along with all the displays from other classes.

Each class contributed a photo that represented
 their particular community focus
Our photo- working with MERC
at Bucklands Beach for the cleanup

Our first panel- what we thought about community at the beginning and our thoughts on pest animals and using the tracker tunnels at EPS to see if we had a pest problem...
The tracker tunnel Anna Baine lent to us
This panel was devoted to our tree planting efforts in June and our Bucklands Beach cleanup with MERC

Our trip to Tiritiri Matangi Island made us realise how effective community action can be to restore a large area of native bush for our native birds - the Tiritiri photos were all taken by children.

Our last panel showing the important messages from Barbara on Tirirtiri:

We learnt lots of things that we can do to each protect or restore our native forests and native birds!

We hope all our readers will
pledge a personal action too.
